There are many reasons people seek therapy.
Some people need help with psychological or mood problems such as anxiety or depression. Other people desire a change in their lifestyle, such as living healthier or communicating more openly with their partner. For others, significant changes such as a divorce or work transition can upend personal or family life.
Therapy offers a judgement free space for personal growth, support, and feedback. Therapy can be right for you if you’re interested in cultivating a life with more awareness, insight, grounding, and resilience.
-
In order to help you decide if therapy with one of our clinicians is a good fit for you, we offer a complementary phone consultation lasting approximately 15 minutes.
This initial interaction will give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about how we practice and beginning therapy.
In addition, during the call, we will help familiarize you with our office policies and procedures as well as fees and payment options.

Most people feel nervous or anxious meeting a therapist for the first time, and often struggle with the decision to make an initial appointment.
This is completely normal. However, the process is simple: show up, either online or in-person and be yourself. You can expect your first session, also known as an intake/assessment, to last 75 minutes. During this time we will get to know each other better and begin to develop goals for therapy.
Prior to your appointment, we kindly ask that you complete our new client information, consent, and HIPPA forms. These forms will be made accessible to you on our client portal once your initial appointment is scheduled.
-
After your intake/assessment, which is 75 minutes, you can expect each session to last 50 minutes.
The number of sessions needed will differ for each person depending on the reason you are seeking services.
Therapy can be short-term, approximately 6 - 12 sessions, to address specific concerns, or open-ended to explore more complex issues.
-
Fees for services range based on the therapist’s level of experience and expertise.
Intake/Assessment (75-minute session): $225 - 265
Individual, Family and/or Couples (50 minute session): $150 - 175
Individual, Family and/or Couples (75 minute extended session): $225 - 265
We accept cash and all major credit cards. All fees are due at the beginning of each session.
*A limited number of appointments are available on a sliding scale based on financial necessity as well as availability. Please call to discuss sliding scale prices.
-
If you need to cancel or change your appointment, you will be able to do so on the client portal or by contacting your therapist directly.
We ask for notification of cancellation at least 24-hours in advance of your scheduled session start time.
Your full session fee will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations received less than 24 hours in advance.

We are not contracted with any insurance companies or health management organizations (HMOs).
However, we would be happy to provide you with an invoice (a.k.a. “superbill”) that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement or credit towards your deductible after each office visit.
We recommend that you contact your insurance provider prior to your initial session to determine (1) whether you have coverage for mental health services and (2) the reimbursement policy for services rendered by an out-of-network provider.
We know it can feel like a big step to call a therapist, but we’ll make it easy. We’ll spend 15-minutes on the phone and will let you know how or if we can help. If we are not the right fit, we’ll do our best to get you to the right person.
